Irish new car registrations thus far in 2011 are up 41 percent on the same period in 2010. New vehicle registration statistics released by Motorcheck.ie show that 6,296 new cars were registered in Ireland in the first 10 days of January 2011, compared with 4,467 during the same period last year.
It’s worth noting that new car registrations were hampered by poor weather conditions in the opening days of 2010 however. Toyota tops the sales charts with 1,102 new vehicles registered thus far in 2011, ahead of Ford with 735 and Renault with 608.
The Toyota Avensis is Ireland’s best-selling car so far this year with 366 examples registered. Click
