Although we still await the official unveiling of the new BMW M5, Kellener’s new take on the standard 5-Series has whetted our appetite for the car. Kellener has taken a stock 535i and subtly sharpened its exterior with a range of accessories, including a bumper extension with integrated LEDs, an RS spoiler lip, side mouldings and a spoiler, diffuser and bumper extension at the rear.
It’s easy to mistake the car for a fully fledged M5 at the rear, as Kellener has fitted a full stainless-steel exhaust system with four round tailpipes and a contrasting grey diffuser.
In standard guise, the 535i’s engine produces a respectable 306bhp; but this rises to 367bhp once the German tuner is through with it. This is thanks to what Kellener calls a ‘KS Power35 module kit’, which also ups torque to 480Nm.
The 5-Series sits 30mm nearer to the ground thanks to new performance springs and also gains 20-inch multi-spoke polished graphite silver wheels wrapped in high-performance rubber. There are also several key refinements inside with velour floor mats and aluminium pedals.
