Leading Cork motor dealer, Finbarr Galvin Ltd., has joined the Skoda Ireland and SEAT Ireland networks as a main dealer for the two VW Group brands.
The full ranges of Skoda and SEAT vehicles are available from the company’s new state-of-the-art premises at Clonakilty Road, Bandon, Co. Cork. The 9,000 sq. ft. facility has just opened following an investment of one million euro.
The family-run business, employing 20 staff and headed up by Finbarr and his son, Justin, has been operating in Bandon for over 36 years. The company, which was previously a Renault dealer, has an extensive client base in the south Cork region, built on a reputation for its customer service and loyalty.
Justin Galvin said, “We’re delighted to be joining both Skoda and SEAT at a time of growth for both brands. Skoda has seen its market share increase over the last couple of years to over 5.5 percent and seventh position in the market. SEAT has also seen exciting additions to its product range and an increase of 135 percent in sales year-on-year.”

A preview of the latest SEAT and Skoda models will be available at an Open Weekend launch event on December 4 and 5. The weekend will see Santa Claus arriving by helicopter and with spot prizes to be won, including bikes and concert tickets to see Latin superstar Shakira in concert.
